Project: Hack-Cade Work Log

Six times faster... that was what sold me on the new $35 Raspberry Pi 2, but finding an Ion I-cade cabinet for $30 on ebay sealed it and this emulation arcade project begins. Instead of scratch building the whole thing like my last one I will be using every bit of (and adding to) the I-cade cabinet, which also means trying to utilize the existing bluetooth connection, I say try because the I-cade is meant to only pair with ipads since Apple likes everything proprietary. I have a backup plan in the event using the bluetooth fails, an i-Pac2 controller that I will hard wire to the I-cade joystick and buttons if need be.

I am currently awaiting needed parts from China, a black plastic case for the Raspberry Pi 2, bluetooth USB adapter, 1ft. HDMI cable, LVDS controller with HDMI, and a powered USB hub.
